When the French classic, Les Enfants Du Paradis was filmed in Nice in Nazi occupied France during World War II, many of the cast and extras were involved in clandestine activities. Some were members of the Resistance but others collaborated with the Germans. NIGHT SHOOT explores the passions and dangers of people who led a double life while making this great film.
NIGHT SHOOT is a love story. It celebrates the relationships of people in desperate circumstances, their craving for freedom from political oppression, their love of France and their love of stirring cinema.
Above all, NIGHT SHOOT is a testimony to how art – high and low - triumphs over the pain and difficulty of brutality.
